Portfolio

Here’s a partial list of projects which I have worked on:

QueryBox

QueryBox  allows non technical people to take action on their social media profiles using
human-like language queries. QueryBox most recently came in first in StartUp Weekend 2013 ( Taiwan, Tainan ).

Check out QueryBox here.

Service Science Research Center @ Taipei Taiwan. NCCU

Here’s the revamped site of my research lab: http://ssrc.nccu.edu.tw

It’s based on WordPress and jQuery goodness.

Still in testing phase, so there might be some rough edges!

Simple JavaScript Application

I’m involved in some community work, and I get to build a simple website. My school has quite a few different websites that are geared towards providing information for foreign students. So my idea is to pull various data from different sites, and also include some latest content about Taiwan.

The site can be found here. This is a very rough prototype with no optimizations on HTTP requests from various APIs, so it might load a little slow on your browser.

The site is based on various open source projects such as YQL, JQuery and so on.

This project is built on JavaScript (YUI, JQuery ), HTML and CSS.

No server programming is used.

Scraper – gathering and analyzing social data

[ Update: the tool is featured on First Monday! http://www.firstmonday.org/htbin/cgiwrap/bin/ojs/index.php/fm/article/view/3937 ]

I’m currently working on  a tool that gathers and analyzes social data on various topics.

I’m focused on data from Twitter at this point of time, gathering and analyzing data about the recent Japanese Earthquake.

Read more about it here.

Tubeface.me – an easier way to listen to music uploaded on YouTube

I’ve revamped TubeFace.me! Finally.

This is a simple tool that aims to integrate Facebook, Twitter and Google logins with a primary authentication system.

It’s a web application that allows small businesses to build simple advertisements out of amateur artists’ portfolio.

Received 2 awards for this project.
